8-Bit Armies is a retro real-time strategy game developed by Petroglyph Games for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Despite its title, the game features Minecraft-like voxel graphics. The gameplay is intended to be simple and accessible for all players; resources are collected from oil wells, structures built from a headquarters, and a basic unit roster produced via various production facilities.
There are two playable factions: the hard-hitting Renegades and the mobile Guardians. Each faction has a campaign though the story is almost non-existent, where each mission is largely defined by their objectives rather than the plot.
